I. definitions
The process of " carrying" a program into the memory space inside the chip is called burning.
Ii. classification
The burning mode is generally divided into offline burning and online burning.
1. offline burning:
Through the adapter and the different packaging of the chip connection, the chip and the adapter can be used together to achieve program burning. The nature of the adapter is similar to a precision fixture, and different packaged chips require different adapters. If an error occurs during the production test, the chip needs to be removed from the adapter and burned again according to the specified process, which consumes more manpower and material resources and has higher cost. In PCBA processing and production will appear some unexpected situations, such as insufficient temperature resistance of the circuit board, when removing the chip will cause chip deformation, virtually increase the risk of scrap.
2. on - line burning:
On - line burning using standard communication bus chip, such as USB, swd, JTAG, UART, etc., the interface is generally fixed, burning need to connect the foot is very few. Because the communication rate of the interface is not high, the burning can be completed by using common wires without high consumption. Online burning is through wire connection to program burning, if the production test found that there was an error, can immediately back to the wrong PCBA, to burn again, without removing the chip. Not only the production cost is saved, but also the burning efficiency is increased.
